July Franchisee Zoom Meeting this Tuesday

Join us this Tuesday evening at 8PM Eastern for our July Franchisee Zoom Meeting. Topcis will include all of the following information:

  • Repairs and refinishing near/over ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) sensors

  • Doug Fodrie from Sherwin Williams will be joining us to share his insight on how the collision industry is dealing with the issues related to repairs and refinishing near ADAS sensors.

  • ICAR has an excellent collection of all Manufacturer Statements on what each will allow regarding repairs and repainting near their ADAS sensors. Click the link below to see the list of all the manufacturers with links to each Manufacturer Statement.

Franchisee Certification Designation Process

In order to bring more consistency and the ability to standardize processes throughout our franchise system, we are currently working to establish standards for the following Certification levels for painters within the Colors on Parade/CarLove Franchise system:

  • Certified Technician (wholesale, bumpers, TU, CCSR...)

  • Advanced Technician (Blending, body work, panels)

  • Master Technician (Top surfaces, larger body work, larger repairs, retail/service drive quality)

  • Mentor Technician (All certifications plus training in sales, customer service, teaching, etc...)

Separately:

  • Wheel Refinish Technician

  • Wheel Reconditioning Technician

Our goals with these certification designations are to establish mutually agreed upon standards for the types of repairs performed at each level and for the quality of the repair based on practices employed and products used in the repair processes. For example, we need to be able to say in our marketing materials that our retail services include the use of only high quality products and that all of our retail repairs are backed by a standard warranty. A similar statement is needed for our repairs performed in the Service Drive of dealerships. So, you can expect to hear more about these certification levels as we work to define each over the coming months.
